It’s no secret that I have lofty dreams. I am a self proclaimed workaholic that happens to really love her work. And, I really love my work because I make a choice every day to only work on what is important to me, what makes my heart happy. Of all the wishes I have for my kids, I hope most of all they see that you can work really hard at something you love and be successful. Success is all relative of course, and I hope they see that too.

 

A few months ago, I had this little idea. I wanted to create a place that was encouraging, inspiring and knowledgeable just for photographers. It’s come into it’s own really, and when I think about what’s yet to come, I almost burst with excitement.

 

The truth is, I can not do this on my own. I was nervous though; could I find people that were as excited, as passionate, as I am about this. About this industry and the importance of empowering and encouraging our fellow photographers. There’s so much negativity out there, I crave positive influences and knowledgeable sources.

 

I put a call out and was absolutely floored with the results. Humbled actually. And the amazing girls that came forward, and offered to be a part of this with me, I am so honored.
Aside from the absolute delight that they would even want to do this with me, I am so happy for y’all. Because they truly will lift you up on your photography journey, as you stumble through running a business and as you falter in your ability & confidence. And, when you succeed (which we all know you will!), these girls will genuinely celebrate with you.

 

Gosh, I feel so gushy & mushy now.
